Congrats to CSEC students

Editor: The Caribbean has produced some brilliant minds of which we can all be proud, and from which we can all learn and be inspired. History, tradition and culture are tools for success.{{more}}Congratulations to all who were successful in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC). I wish them well in the future and any future studies. May they aspire to be the best that they can be and attain the highest goals which they can achieve. I wish them much success as they continue on the road of Ph. D. achievement, that is “Portraying highest Determination” and “Producing honorable Distinction.”

The late Professor Archie Singham wrote in his book “The Hero and the Crowd in a Colonial Polity” that “Lloyd Best taught me the most important lesson of all, that the task of the intellectual in the Third World is to live and write courageously about the issues facing that world.” The Caribbean looks forward to being more enriched by the brilliant minds of the future, as evidenced by the students of today.

Congratulations, too, to all who continue to mould the minds and intellect of others. To those who were not successful, a word of encouragement: Don’t give up, keep on trying.
