I am of the opinion that religions have done more bad than good. I do not need a religion to tell me that I should not kill or steal from another person. That should be dictated by your conscience hence I cannot understand how these have made religious books into master pieces.
We fail to realise that religions are a set of beliefs which cannot be proven scientifically. For everyone who said his or her prayer was answered, there are dozens who would say the opposite. How am I to believe that God had a chosen people? Some believe that this remains up to today while others claim that this was abolished. The Bible tells me that God cannot change and remains the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. If this is the case, I would be very sceptical of going to heaven because the same rule may apply.
We read of God speaking with a thundering voice to persons in the fields and on mountains. Why does this no longer occur? Has God gone silent or has changed his modus operandi?
With all that is going on in the world today, do we need more for the fulfilment of prophecy? If that is the case, we would all be dead by the time Christ is ready to come, but we all should know that is like waiting for someone to get younger by the day.
