Frank Da Silva Was Right

Editor, For sometime now, I have been thinking that I owe your readers an explanation with regard to a position that I took at the time of the presidential elections of 2012 in the United States.{{more}}
The letter in your paper of June 27th under the caption “What is wrong with President Obama? “absolutely touched me”.
When the president came out in favour of Gay marriage prior to the elections, I explained it away as an effort in which my party simply opened up the big tent for everyone.
I waged a war against my brother Frank Da Silva who supports the Republican party,even though I knew that we were both raised by our late mother Mrs Adina Wyllie to know that is wrong.
I simply played politics with the issue, for that I am sorry. I look today in dismay as AMERICA has GONE GAY.
One very good example: The public kiss by the two male football players which was praised as being “sweet and affectionate” in my mind was absolutely disgusting.
I still support President Obama but on this issue I am very disapointed and yes my brother Frank was right.
