Eustace’s leadership inept, opportunistic
Editor: I am never really minded to comment on anything Arnhim Eustace says or writes. His record speaks for itself. But the recent Edson Augustus fiasco took my image of the man to a new low. I feel almost sorry for him.{{more}}
First, he bolted out of the blocks much like Asafa Powell at the Beijing Olympics, demanding the Government to come clean immediately on whether our passports were being sold etc. No doubt he must have eaten the same garbage and swallowed the same commess that was being thrown around Facebook by the likes of Margaret London, Bryan Alexander, Jerry George and their kind and even reported in iWitness News by Kenton Chance. Some even went as far as to petition the US government. What fools.
He then went on to demand that the diplomatic status of the former Deputy Consul General be revoked, something which had already been done. A certain windbag virago went on social media trying to spread this misinformation. After all, she is not one known to tell the truth, even in court documents. Her attempt at re-entry into the political social media arena flip-flopped like a deformed bird trying to fly. I wonder if he was acting on this misinformation as well.
Then, as if to reassure his followers of his leadership ability he calls for a shake-up of the Consulate, again spewing misinformation about the current Consul General and his private vehicle. Did Mr Augustus conduct his activity at the Consulate? Is there a problem at the Consulate? Not to my knowledge. So, what exactly are you going to shake up? Seriously, I cannot believe a leader of a renowned political party and Prime Ministerial hopeful operates solely on commess and misinformation. I hope for the sake of St Vincent and the Grenadines and the NDP that Mr Eustace gets his act together before he has to pull up with a groin injury much like Asafa Powell.
