My response to Cedric Harold
Tue Mar 05, 2013
Editor: Mr Haroldâs response to me on 1st March is just repetitive nonsense, which shows an arrested mental growth in his speech. You said “your argument on religion will not convince non-believersâ; however, it is your godless statement that will not convince believers.{{more}}
In a democracy what is right matters, not the majority! If the majority says a big man can marry a five-year-old or that six-year-olds should be given guns to protect themselves, should it be done? Your twisted reasoning will wreak havoc on any society. In democratic, communist, monarchial states, even in barbaric tribunal societies, the majority has always been heterosexual, because that is how man is by nature. Heterosexualism has nothing to do with democratic processes or politicking. However, political laws can be used by a powerful few to force their deviances upon the majority; this is also wrong.
Your questions of me “could it be that the agenda that she speaks of is anti-democratic? and is she arguing or simply restating her faith?â betrays an arrested intellectual comprehension, for they speak about things that even children can understand, but corrupted thinking makes an issue of the simplest things in an effort to avoid sensible convictions. The role of religion is to be a watchdog of morality; this is a role delegated by God himself to human beings, but it does not make the human being God! However, when a human being redefines marriage which God created and already defined it is an affront to God and it is playing god with God.
The writer is scared of Sodom and Gomorrah and rightly so, but he is trying to escape the fear, not by turning away from his insane concepts, but by messing up his own thinking, so that he would not see clearly. Those who do not believe that man was created by God and therefore God is the source of morality believe that man evolved. They believe that simple things evolved first, then more complicated things after. Thus such people are human beings walking around already evolved, but without brains, so they cannot see simple truths like God created all things is in authority.
Readers may judge indeed, that the insane reasoning is already discredited.
