I remain a supporter of God’s view on homosexuality

Editor: The endorsement of Gay unions by President Obama, the boldness of Vincentian fashion star Kirk Cambridge to talk about his lifestyle, the moves across the region to remove anti-buggery laws and the erroneous reference to homosexuality as “a right” do not at all change God’s view about this sexual deviant behaviour. {{more}}And for those of us who are still Bible-believing followers of God, we are not “intolerant bigots” because we support God’s position, condemn the homosexual behaviour and call him to repent. We are just propagating God’s standards, recognising that He is Creator, Sovereign Ruler of His creation, with laws that should be submitted to for the preservation of individuals and as a society.

Interestingly, men like Barack Obama who support homosexual unions under the garb of “equal rights” and the pursuit of happiness seem to forget that it is the Creator-God who has created us equal under law to which the very US Declaration subscribes when it states “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” It is clear, that Our Creator did not create man with a right to be gay. Being gay is not a right. It is a perverted lifestyle that man chooses, not wanting to “retain God in their knowledge…” (Romans 1:28). It is an obscene opportunity provided by some governments to aid sodomites to practice their unnatural lustful behaviour, for their(governments’) own selfish political gains. Still, sodomy is not a right! It does not sustain life and it does not promote true happiness. Rights are “Life-sustaining behavioural codes of equality under law”. They are God-endowed.

It is also important to note that the same God who created us equal is the same God who declares in His eternal word that ” Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination.”(Lev.18:22). It is also the same God who rained down fire from heaven to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah-turning them “into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly”(11 Pet. 2:6).

When we consider the arguments pushed by homosexuals proponents today, they make God “anti-equality” and “the greatest bigot”. It is no surprise therefore that those who stand FIRM for morality and the preservation of the only definition of marriage are accused of bigotry. Well that’s sad and too bad! I remain a supporter of God’s view. Join with me for the preservation of our society, against homosexuality!
