Thanks to BRAGSA for some repairs done in North Leeward

Fri, Jun 1. 2012

Editor: I take this opportunity to say thanks to BRAGSA for dealing with some of the major concerns in North Leeward. For sometime now we have been asking for some repairs to be done to some of the roads in North Leeward that have large potholes, namely those from Rose Bank above the Centre and on towards Dark View.{{more}} Thanks to BRAGSA they have filled those holes in a good way and it looks good and makes driving a bit more comfortable.

It is also commendable that there was a situation at Coulls Hill where a road was threatening to undermine and quickly they went to work and dealt with the problem. We sometimes hit BRAGSA hard, especially when it comes to roads and in particular North Leeward; now I think we should also return compliments to them for doing a good job. Keep up the good work, guys.

I am confident that they would address the situation mentioned previously concerning the Health Centres in North Leeward. I am also confident that they would not disappoint and will continue to rise to the occasion and continue their good work here in North Leeward and elsewhere.

Meanwhile compliments are also in order for the folks at the BOTANIC GARDENS for keeping the place clean and having it look in such an attractive way. I know it cost money for the upkeep of the facility but I think it would be an unfortunate situation if money is charged to enter the gardens. There are many families and groups that use the gardens for relaxation and other functions and charging a fee can deter a good family get-together. It would be nice if a discussion is held before fees are implemented, for after all funds have to come from somewhere to maintain the Gardens and I am sure that persons can give suggestions as to how to get monies to maintain the Gardens.
