Editor: I have a feeling of outrage over the arrest of Camillo Gonsalves by the New York police. Their habit of stereotyping people has led them to disrespect Camillo and our nation.{{more}}

I have lived in the United States for 31 years. I am a citizen of the country and travel on an American passport. However, I never lost sight of the fact that I am Vincentian. No matter what, I think Vincy. When former Prime Minister James Mitchell was disrespected on CNN, I was, as I am now, anti NDP. However, I

put aside party politics and saw the issue as assault on St.Vincent and the Grenadines, land of my birth. The same principle should apply in the case of Ambassador Gonsalves.

I call on all Vincentians to express their disgust in this instance. St. Vincent and the Grenadines deserves no less.
