Salute to the nurses at the MCMH
03.JUNE.11
Editor: I just spent the last 4 days as an unexpected patient at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.{{more}} I would like to publically commend the nurses at the Male Surgical Ward (though this may hold true for all the nurses at the hospital). I felt like they always acted in a professional manner, and with quiet dignity and courtesy. They were vital to maintaining life. My salute to you.
Also, thanks to those in the operating room, especially Nino Mckoy who I knew prior to admittance.
Doctor Dougan did much to tell us what was happening, and why an operation was necessary, and how it would be done. He was a great doctor.
And a special thanks to an unnamed nurse, because we do not know her name, who was honest enough when she found that my wife had left her purse and turned it over to me for safe keeping.
There was a contingent of student nurses there at one time – may you all follow wisely in the steps of your fore- runners.
In Christ, Alan Berry
