Are we afraid of ourselves?

13.MAY.11

Editor: It is well accepted by mankind that we are body, mind and spirit.{{more}} We sometimes divide our mind into the conscious and the subconscious. However, we were created with all these components for a reason, and they all must be working in harmony in order for us to live a fulfilling life.

Humans are very powerful entities, but most fail to understand and appreciate the power at their disposal. If someone reaches the stage of being able to levitate or walk on water, many would associate that with power from the devil. However, it is the power of God that has been placed at our disposal. We simply do not take time out to understand the workings of man and this universe.

There are simple things such as fortune telling that many persons associate with the devil. However, fortune telling is possible because everything that is to occur is already written in energy in another dimension. In this dimension, time does not exist. Therefore, everything that is to occur has already taken place all at once. This may seem weird or difficult to grasp, but that is how it is. This is why a person can dream a winning number for a lottery because that number already played in a next dimension. However, we cannot see it as physically played but the information is out there. I remembered someone wrote that mysticism is the art of knowing without knowing. It means that your spirit which is part of you always knows while your conscious self does not know.

Every individual is born with the potential to be great. We may find it difficult to ride a bike, but there are individuals who can ride a bike around a circuit at 200 miles per hour. It comes with practice. Even the art of communicating with God requires practice. It is only our spirit that can communicate with God. Therefore, all the channels must be linked, so that information can be transferred from the spirit to the subconscious then to the conscious so that it can be used for decision making. The individual that appears to have best mastered this art of communication was Jesus Christ. It seems that he spent tremendous amount of time trying to master the art. This may account for his years of absence as indicated in the Bible. Many have, however, taken it to the extreme where they are awaiting him bursting through the sky in a grand return.

As teachers and parents, we ought to encourage our children to strive to be great. What our children must learn from the story of Jesus Christ is that he was great. We should not let them feel that Christ received any extra power from God but should understand that he acquired it so that others can acquire it also. Let us not be afraid of ourselves, for once the power in us is used for the good of mankind, there is no limit to what we can achieve as a people. Most of us are hindered by the self doubt, so we ought to suppress it.

In order to become truly fit, we must not only exercise our bodies but also our mind and spirit.
