Thumbs Down sign; Condemned to death

EDITOR: Not even the most educated ones in our midst have yet bothered to reflect on that thumb down symbol on the Headquarters of the New Democratic Party (NDP) opposite the Girls’ High School (GHS) on Murray’s Road, Kingstown.{{more}}

For the benefit of those who do not know, that thumb down symbol was first used by a Roman Emperor in BC 27 to AD 395 to condemn Christians to death.

We could with justification say that was a religious war, and that the peoples in our part of the world will never give soccer to any form of religious or political dividism. That’s where the SIDEWALK ENDS.

The New Democratic Party (NDP) is the oldest political party in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Effectively, the NDP in 2009 has given a rebirth to those dark and unfathadomed days of ancient Rome in that “Thumbs Down” a nation of many races fighting to integrate”.

Political and religious symbols which inspires violence and hostility are uncalled for and unwanted in modern civilization. Unfortunately, that NDP SYMBOL CAN BE CATEGORIZED AS BEING IN COMPANY OF THE Ku Klux Klan (KKK). These are some of Roget’s Thesaurus interpretation of Thumb down: Negative- say no- say nay- say nix, vote no-vote in the negative, dirty or nasty-diatribe-Hostile Criticism, and look black upon.
