Editor: It is nice and a relief to many vehicle owners and drivers to see the road going into Glen starting from the Villa gap being resurfaced. Thanks also for fixing the holes in some areas in Green Hill and on also on the Leeward Highway.{{more}} Although it is not perfect, for there are many more holes to be dealt with. I am certain that many are thankful.

I would also like to remind the authorities that North Leeward highway needs some immediate attention. The grass has grown so high by the side of the road that it makes it difficult for drivers on the road to see the oncoming traffic. This coupled with the many corners makes driving on the North Leeward highway a big challenge. Not only is the grass heavy on the North Leeward highway but also on the entire Leeward Highway and other areas of the country.

I know we may argue that times are hard and monies are hard to come by. However, road safety is a top priority. Thus, it is necessary that there be quick action in having the grass and bush cleared as soon as possible. After all, we are in the rainy season and if attention is not given soon, then the grass in some areas which hangs over and even occupies part of the road will become worse.

We would be thankful for this small but necessary work. Let us try to make our roads safe and so I call upon the authorities to act quickly. Thank you.
