How long will you ignore me?

Editor: First of all, I wish to thank this newspaper for allowing me to share with you what the Almighty God is saying to this nation at this time.{{more}}

Fellow Vincentians, God is asking us as a nation: “How long will we ignore him?” The word “ignore” means to take no notice of someone or something. We have rejected God in a lot of ways and he has become aggravated with our actions. Who are we really without God? We are absolutely nothing without Jesus Christ! It’s because of his grace and mercies why we are alive today. God wants us to know that anything that is not built on his foundation will tumble down just like the tower of Babel. We must also be aware that except the Lord watches a city, the watchmen labur in vain and except he buildeth a house the labourers worketh in vain. (Psalms 127: 1-2).

Church, do not ever forget that Jesus is the solid foundation and there will never be any power in the church if it has not been built upon this solid foundation (Matthew 7:24). God loves us so much and he is pleading with you today to turn fully to Him. He is our only source of life. He reigns in majesty!! Don’t you dare ignore the stillness of his voice in your heart because he would increase the intensity of his voice and you will definitely not be able to ignore it!

All over this nation the Lord is speaking to the hearts of people, whether in dreams or vision. St. Vincent, are we hardening our hearts when he has spared us so many times from disasters? There are times when God will use someone to deliver messages to us and we refuse to take heed and pray. He is asking: “To whom can I speak and giving warning?” “Who will listen to me?” The word of the Lord is offensive to many. We find no pleasure in it, but God says: “I am full of wrath and am tired of holding it in.” The spirit of judgement is hovering over our nation. Judgement will begin in the Church. Yes, God is a merciful God but he is also a God of Judgment. (John 5:27) He will execute judgement when judgement needs to be executed.

If we reject the Godly principles for our lives, God will ‘thunder’ from His holy dwelling and roar mightily like a lion who has just been let out of chains. God hates sin and He is disgusted at it. We have realized that God is a holy God and darkness is his enemy. He hates sin so much that he destroyed places where it was dominant. We are constantly hurting God in so many ways. We need to stop taking him for granted because he is a jealous God.

Fast and pray and stay covered under the blood of Jesus. He is the only shelter from every demonic force. God is saying to every minister of the word: “Don’t you dare bring pillows for the elbows of the people.” Sometimes we the church have the tendency of condoning sin, thus making it become a part of us. The trumpet of the Lord is condoning: “Repent and turn from your sinful ways” God is not mocked!

Christians, please don’t ever forget that you are not on a playground but a battlefield. Step up in standard. Keep on the whole armour of God. God is speaking to our hearts. Put on your spiritual earphones today! Romans 8:6 declares: “For to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” Stay in tune with God. You can’t be a Christian if you do not live in the presence of the Lord seeking his face! Give your all to Jesus. You are not your own. You were bought with a price. Hear and pay attention. Do not be arrogant, for the Lord has spoken.
