Why are those lawyers so angry?

03.OCT.08

EDITOR: The policewoman has fired her old lawyers and has chosen a new one. He was instructed to discontinue the case against the Prime Minister. This has been done.

Changing lawyers is a normal thing in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Changing instructions to lawyers is also not unusual. So, why is it that the former lawyers are so sour and angry?{{more}} Why are they creating a public fuss on something which is normal and usual in the profession? Why are they quarrelling publicly with the policewoman and her mother, with all kinds of imputations and unfounded allegations?

The former lawyers are showing their true colours. Clearly, they are/were motivated by something other than the normal and usual in this legal business. Perhaps they can tell us what it is.

I commend the Prime Minister for his dignified handling of this entire matter. His strength has been remarkable. I again see that he holds no malice or ill-will to anyone, even those who have tried to savage his character.
