Congrats to ULP for 7 great years in office

28.MAR.08

EDITOR: I congratulate the ULP government and the Prime Minister on seven magnificent years in office. I will be at the Party’s celebrations at Rabacca on March 29th. I hope that Vincentians of all walks of life turn out in their numbers to this event.{{more}}

Everyone will have his or her own views on the areas in which the Government has performed best. For me it is the Education Revolution and the help given to poor people. This ULP administration has made me feel proud to be a Vincentian because of its regional and foreign policy.

I know that recently the opposition NDP and some lawyers have been trying to tarnish the good name of the Prime Minister and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I remember well Sir James Mitchell’s words from the days when I supported him: “Dirty Water can’t tarnish gold”.

I am very heartened by the way the Prime Minister has been functioning under the recent pressures. That is one strong and seasoned leader! He will not buckle. He seems to be made of steel. I love him more than ever.

Let’s celebrate a good man and his Party.

Sincerely yours,
Joanne Stephens
