Maximum support for PM Gonsalves
13.MAR.08
Editor: As I write this, I am in St. Vincent and the Grenadines celebrating my birthday (March 10th) for the first time since 1980.
Over the years, I have kept on top of events here through the newspapers that are sent to me at my home in Philadelphia, USA.{{more}}
Being on home soil, however, makes all the difference – seeing is believing.
As you may imagine, I am extremely pleased with the signs of progress everywhere I go. The country has moved forward tremendously, and most of the people that I spoke to so far seem to be satisfied with their Government and generally have a feeling of optimism.
Actually standing on the Rabacca Bridge and also walking underneath it gave me a feeling of satisfaction.
No wonder such sadistic efforts are being made by a twice defeated Opposition to bring down with baseless accusations the very hard working Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.
The same old failed tactics; hate Ralph, boycott Parliament and no sense of responsibility on the part of the elected Opposition.
I read much about talk radio host E.G Lynch, so I sat down to listen to him.
I must say that if he is really the mouth piece of the NDP, then that party will be in opposition for a very long time.
The expressions which seem to come from a stand point of nastiness can only promote ill will in our society and need to stop.
I cannot conclude without condemning the sick joke played by some nut who called in bomb threats to the hospital.
I hope and pray that the culprit will be caught eventually.
Editor, it has always been said that people should get the Government that they deserve.
The people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (most of them) are very good people and they truly deserve the best.
Thatâs why they have the Unity Labour Party Administration.
Maximum support for Prime Minister Hon. Ralph Gonsalves.
