Frank’s back, with a change of heart?
19.OCT.07
Editor: I wrote some time ago about the relationship between Nice Radio, Frank DaSilva and the New Democratic Party (NDP). I warned Frank about where he was going, attacking the NDP leadership; Frank made all kind of attacks and remarks about Mr. Eustaceâs leadership, such as âHeâs not right for the leadershipâ, and that he should be replaced by Dr. Linton Lewis.{{more}}
Frank was very open about the way he felt about Eustaceâs leadership, then he was asked to leave Nice Radio. He then found himself at Cross Country Radio 104.3 FM, where the attacks continued on Mr. Eustaceâs leadership. He then decided heâs not paying VAT on Cross Country Radio, so he left. All of a sudden, Frank has had a change of mind about Eustaceâs leadership, I am wondering why? Is it because he canât do without the radio, or is it that he just likes to be heard? The same leadership he thought wasnât right, all of a sudden is right.
Mr. Eustace and Senator Leacock are no longer politically wrong, but they have the answer to take St. Vincent and the Grenadines forward, says Frank. Should the NDP trust Frank DaSilva? How should Mr. Eustace feel about all these attacks he received from Frank? I am confused by Frankâs action. Mr. DaSilva was upset with the NDP for not taking some aspects of the last election to court, then he found himself staging a one man protest outside the office of the Supervisor of Election, Mr. Rodney Adams.
It seems as though Frank is having his way, because even the same leadership Frank once criticized is supporting him. The NDP thought the last elections were fair and they conceded defeat. Why is Frank being encouraged by the NDP? Is the NDP saying to Mr. Lynch thanks? After all, they called Frank a loose cannon, but he doesnât find himself in court every Monday morning. I am hoping the NDP doesnât turn to Mr. Daisley. He doesnât have any respect for anybody, especially for the Prime Minister.
Frank once played a tape where Mr. Eustace said itâs not all about becoming a Prime Minister; Frank suggested that Sir James should come back to take over the leadership of the NDP. I have some advice for Sir James: donât come back, your era has ended. I also noticed that the NDP keeps encouraging Mr. Horne and Mr. Cruickshank; Burton Williams seems to be back, but Parnel Campbell and Carlyle Dougan, who made their contribution, are being sidelined by Senator Leacock. Senator Leacock, you first have to win a seat, then you can decide what is and whatâs not. Donât be like Frank, follow the leader.
The NDP will be around for some time, but theyâll have to wait their turn. We need to hear about their plan, which should offer a better way forward. They criticized VAT, the increase in oil prices, governance of the country, the appointment of certain persons to certain jobs. Give us some solutions for the failing banana industry, inflation, the decline in the offshore sector; the tourism sector which needs to be improved, and how to deal with the issue of crime that seems to be out of control.
Letâs put our heads together and make it happen.
Thank you!
