Bring constructive ideas, stop the personal attacks!

EDITOR: As humans, we are at the pinnacle of the Animal Kingdom, but lo, so many of our primitive traits stay embedded, entrenched, dug-in – supposedly – within our inner being.
We consider that elsewhere in the Animal Kingdom the motto may well be âEat or be Eatenâ and we, as human beings can create the occasions to embellish and act-out those instinctive traits.{{more}}
Is that plain old savagery or gang-warfare? Or just plain old band-wagonning, piggy-backing or what?
Let us take a recent example – the good old Miss SVG Show where some eight contestants were vying for the crown to represent SVG from now until the next Miss SVG Show in 2008.
Young, courageous, intelligent women who were tutored for 8 – 12 weeks – to do so many things including walking, talking, greeting people, exchanging conversations and now perhaps there is an apparent need to hone-in more firmly, on âCurrent Eventsâ – those happening at home and abroad.
The highly experienced Beauty Shows Committee did no less this year than in previous years – as far as we understand. They followed their organized, proven system in the training scheme for these pageants. So what went wrong this year?
Well, the young ladies for the most part, did not handle the interview segment very well. It was obvious and they too have acknowledged this. But with that, the band-wagon started rolling; those who cowardly couldnât run fast enough on their own, took piggy-back on the situation and clammered for the blood of the Beauty Shows Committee and by extension the âwhole CDCâ.
What utter rubbish. No iota of consideration, or even clarity of thought and reason to realize that the Beauty Shows Committee could NOT physically answer questions for the contestants – even if they had drilled them like an oil exploration. It was easiest to come forward with a 1960s style lynch-mob, proceed with the thunder of negative comments, the barrage of criticisms, a massacre of character assassination, and the crucifixions of the contestants, the Beauty Shows Committee and the CDC – that âtriple catchâ for the feast.
Those who claim to dislike Beauty Shows, those who claim to like Beauty Shows, and the ones who claim to be neither here nor there – were quickly onboard to vulcanize and cannibalize – bringing out those primitive instincts which supposedly reside at the deepest inner self – literally at the lowest level of the Animal Kingdom – Are we really âreadyâ? As a small nation, are we there yet?
The CDC is waiting for the constructive new ideas which are as strong as the venomous criticisms. Sorry, the personal attacks on the airwaves do not qualify as âconstructive new ideasâ.
