Upsurge crime worrying
Editor: The upsurge in criminal and violent activities in the Vincentian society is worrying and of grave concern to the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Barbados.
The Association is calling on the Gonslaves Administration to urgently strategise and implement measures to reverse the present trend.
Crime and violence is a national problem and a national solution must be sought, therefore an appeal is going out to all Vincentians regardless of political affiliation to join in the fight to rid our society of this menace. {{more}}
The Association believes that the unabated crime wave that is sweeping our land has the potential of wiping out years of gain. Tourism and foreign investments are two of the pillars on which the economy is built, therefore St. Vincent and the Grenadines must maintain and protect its reputation as a preferred country to live, work and do business. Crime is indeed a real threat to national development.
