Cable & Wireless giving us a 6 for 9

EDITOR: Season’s greetings to you and members of staff, please permit me a space to express my dissatisfaction with the quality of service that we are receiving in North Leeward.

I am confident that by writing this letter, I have the support of the entire North Leeward community.{{more}}

Consumers in this part of the island have been constantly without the use of their telephones between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on a daily basis for months now. Sometimes we are told that this problem occurs as a result of hunters shooting down the lines. This excuse we refuse to accept because it is impossible for the system to correct itself so that the service is regained for the rest of the night.

On Christmas Day telephone users on this side of the island were unable to communicate with their loved ones overseas because the lines were dead. Whereas we can tolerate the overloaded circuits at this time of the year, it is unfair for us to be paying for services that we are not receiving.

Looking forward to improved service from you, Cable and Wireless.
