Mother Sarah gone home

When we interviewed this great lady on her birthday one year ago, one of the last things she said was, “The next time you coming up here [her native Sandy Bay] is when I dead.” Mother Sarah Baptiste, the nurse to so many of this nation’s children, celebrated another birthday just last week and then decided to make the transition. She is no more, and will be buried in her hometown this weekend.

Mother Sarah, thanks for a life of giving. Rest in peace.
