Women’ Health challenges tackled at two-day forum
DANCE, MOVEMENT, and live drumming were used recently to bring focus to endometriosis, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, fibroids, and other reproductive health challenges.
The initiative, described as “a transformative blend of culture, conversation, and community” was dubbed “Movement in Dance: A Conversation on Endometriosis and Women’s Reproductive Health” and was held at the Peace Memorial Hall in Richmond Hill on March 25-26, 2026.The two-day experience was designed to create a space for women to confront and express realities often suffered in silence.
Hosted by Fertility Awareness Methods (FAM) for Endometriosis in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the initiative went beyond traditional discussion, and offered a culturally relevant and emotionally safe environment where women explored conditions such as Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, fibroids, and other reproductive health challenges that impact not only individuals, but families, communities, and society at large.
