Sculpture Mural unveiled at Peace Memorial Hall
THE DEPARTMENT OF Culture, in collaboration with the Peace Memorial Hall, officially unveiled the first ever large-scale sculptural mural in St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown.The landmark project is said to mark a significant step in the development and recognition of the visual arts sector in this country.
The works was led by senior artist Shanique Stewart, who worked alongside a team of young Vincentian artists, including Jania Francis and Rahje Ash, as well as self taught artist Donnie Collins.
Delivering remarks at the ceremony, Stewart highlighted the historic nature and cultural importance of the project. “This is St Vincent and the Grenadines’ first large scale sculpture mural, a tribute to our creative arts, drama, dance, visual arts, music and storytelling,” Stewart said.
