Lynx to play ‘Who Remember those Days’ for Vincy Mas 2026
SIX SECTIONS, ALL representing some aspects of the way Vincentians live, will be turned into costumes when the Lynx Mas Band makes it presentation for Vincy Mas 2026.
Hence, the production is aptly called Who Remember Those Days.
Two children sections-Laundry Chores and Ring Games, along with adult sections -Cotton Harvesting, Statehood, Sugar Cane Harvesting and Guy Fawkes, complete the portrayals.
It is a presentation, which band leader Cornelius Thomas, is confident can earn them the coveted Band of the Year title.
“It is winning band; It is a band that is relatable”, Thomas said.
From its inception of Lynx in 2005,Thomas reiterated the band’s commitment to keep the standard of their presentation high.
“We are a band that takes our presentation seriously; we maintain high standards of work for our masqueraders and this year will be no exception.”
Thomas said that over the years, the band has been able to maintain a clientele, but he is encouraging others who have never played with Lynx, to join.
“We have many loyal masqueraders who have been with us for some time. However, those who have a thirst and hunger for the Lynx experience, come on over,”Thomas advised.
The band’s base remains on Lower Bay Street, Kingstown, on the upper floor of the Eustace Auto Supplies building, and Thomas said inquiries and information about the 2026 production can be obtained from their social media platforms.
