Taiwan to help boost SVG’s National Security
The national security mechanisms in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) are expected to benefit as a result of policy visits made to the National Police Agency, the National Security Bureau, and the Criminal Investigation Bureau in Taiwan.
Speaking at a Cabinet room press conference on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Disaster Management and Immigration, Major St. Clair Leacock, who returned from Taiwan earlier this week following an official visit, said that talks held while overseas are expected to bear fruit, therefore strengthening local policing efforts.
He said some of the things discussed, “are not appropriate for public discussion”.
