No truth to it, says Minister of Higher Education

Minister of Higher Education, Terrance Ollivierre has refuted claims that Vincentian university students are being disadvantaged due to the non- payment of fees by the New Democratic Party (NDP) administration.

Reports had been circulating that Vincentian students at The University of the West Indies (UWI) were denied entry to class due to the non-payment of fees.

In a statement this week, minister Ollivierre strongly denied this claim and insisted that the government will pay the students’ fee and do all in its power to make sure that they are comfortable.
