Electrician with previous record jailed for 13 months for burglary
An electrician, who was hired to work on a Redemption Sharpes man’s house was sentenced to 13 months in prison for entering the house without permission and stealing a gas cylinder along with other items.
Gideon Quow appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court yesterday, March 23, 2026 where he pleaded guilty that between February 22 and March 2, 2026 at Redemption Sharpes he entered the dwelling house of Don Phillips as a trespasser and stole one white tarpaulin valued EC$80, one Rubis gas cylinder valued EC$40.00, one multi-purpose cement valued EC$40.00, one kitchen faucet valued EC$87.09 and one bathroom shower head valued EC$40.00, a total value EC$267.23, the property of Don Phillips of Redemption Sharpes.
The facts as outlined in court are that Phillips knows Quow very well for Quow is an electrician who was working with him at an unoccupied concrete house at Redemption Sharpes.
