Fuel prices likely to increase in 2026 says Rubis Country Manager
THE COUNTRY MANAGER for Rubis St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), Elroy Edwards, has indicated that an increase in the cost of fuel is likely in 2026, raising concerns among consumers and businesses alike. His comments come in the wake of a hike in oil price on the global market as a result of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East following the coordinated Israeli/ US military attack on Iran.
Edwards told SEARCHLIGHT on Thursday, March 19, 2026 that for now, fuel prices at Rubis service stations remained unchanged.
He noted that this is largely due to the regulatory framework under which fuel pricing operates in the country.
“Fuel prices have not yet increased at our station and this is because prices are regulated by the government… we have not yet received any official notification of an adjustment”.
He, however anticipates that an increase may soon be inevitable.
