National Heroes and Heritage Month, 2026 Programme of activities unveiled

THE 2026 PROGRAMME of activities to celebrate National Heroes and Heritage Month was unveiled at a media launch on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Global Campus, Murray’s Road.

Staged by the Garifuna Heritage Foundation (TGHF), the launch brought together major stakeholders who would be engaged in the preparations for commemoration and observance of this county’s rich heritage.

Central to the planned activities is the hosting of the International Garifuna Conference to be held from March 11 to 13, 2026 at the UWI Global Campus facility.
