Redemption Sharpes man pleads guilty to stealing ginger
A REDEMPTION SHARPES man was jailed, given a suspended sentence and was ordered to pay compensation for stealing $800 worth of ginger.
Glenroy Holder appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Tammika Mckenzie on January 27 where he pleaded guilty that between April 10 and 15, 2025, he stole a sack of matured ginger valued at $800, the property of Lily Lewis of Redemption Sharpes.
The facts are that Lewis has been a farmer for almost all her life. She normally plants eddoes, cabbage and ginger, and is the owner of the sack of matured ginger valued at EC$800.
