New positions added to Ministry of National Security

A TOTAL OF 66 new positions have been added to the Ministry of National Security to help combat crime in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Prime Minister Dr Godwin Friday outlined these new positions during his presentation of the 2026 Estimates in Parliament last Thursday.

According to the prime minister, 42 of these additions are to the workforce of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

Dr Friday said the new officers are to assist in increasing the level of security and safety in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
