In 2023 and 2024 when Donald Trump was facing several charges in the law courts in the United States of America (USA), he said he wouldn’t receive a fair trial in the nation’s capital.

Opposition Leader Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, at a press conference on Monday, January, 5 2026 questioned whether Maduro can receive a fair trial in the US. He also pointed out that the grounds leading to the US military action in Venezuela were laid by former President Barack Obama.
