‘Ronnie’ given credit for Traffic Angels’ win in Police Carolling Contest

MEMBERS of the Traffic department won the Police Carolling Contest for the third consecutive year on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Central Police Station, and Superintendent of Police, and Officer in Charge of traffic, Transport, and Garage, Superintendent Parnel Browne has credited their director, referred to only as ‘Ronnie’, with playing a big part in their win.

Browne told SEARCHLIGHT on Thursday, December, 18 2025, “while we have persons being transferred to and from the department, we still maintain some level of discipline where persons will participate and come…and sing from their heart”.

The contest was initially scheduled to be held on December,19, 2025 but was changed to an earlier date, leaving just a week for their team to prepare.

“We didn’t have much time to rehearse…we just pulled ourselves together and did some rehearsals and we happened to be the best choir,” said the officer.
