PM advises youth to participate in Nine Mornings
PRIME MINISTER of St Vincent and the Grenadines (VG), Dr. Godwin Friday, has encouraged youth to participate in the festivities. Dr. Friday was the featured speaker at the launch and street parade of the National Lotteries Authority Nine Mornings Festival last Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Heritage Square.
However, celebrations kicked off two days later, on December 16, and will conclude on the morning of December 24.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Friday said that Nine Mornings is truly a community event that is unique to SVG and Vincentians.
“Everybody has stories about nine mornings. For me, I remember as a kid, well- not so young- but when I was a teenager, because, you know when you’re kid, you don’t get to go to nine mornings, but when I was a teenager, I remember coming from school, our schoolmates, you get up in the morning and you’re going out four o’clock,” the Prime Minister reminisced.
