NDP will descend, says former PM Gonsalves

FORMER PRIME MINISTER of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, has concluded that the victorious New Democratic Party(NDP) will descend and that the clock of their demise is already ticking.

Two days after the NDP won 14 of the 15 constituencies across SVG in general elections on November 27, 2025, the former Prime Minister made a national address on radio that was also broadcast online where he addressed the election results and related issues.

Dr. Gonsalves, who was the lone candidate from the Unity Labour Party (ULP) to retain his seat in the general elections, said that thousands of the defeated labour army are in shock and pain.

“So too are the other thousands who opted wrongly, in my view, to stay at home for this or that reason rather than embrace Labour’s large and compelling vision of owning our future.”
