Homeless man remanded for stealing, renting cart owned by police officer

A homeless man will be sentenced next Monday, November 24, 2025 for stealing a $500 cart belonging to a police officer, and renting it to someone else.

Kasfield Sam, 38, appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate, Tammika McKenzie yesterday, November 17, 2025 where he pleaded guilty that on August 3, 2025 at Kingstown he assaulted Lawrence Morgan of Kingstown Hill with intent to commit the offence of wounding.

Sam also pleaded guilty to stealing one four-wheel metal cart valued at EC$500.00, the property of Julie Charles of Green Hill.
