Man remanded for beating his baby’s mother
A young man who beat his baby’s mother in her face with a stick, and struck her brother while he was defending her, was remanded pending sentencing.
Jimroy Shortte, 26, appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate, Tammika McKenzie yesterday, November, 3, 2025 where he pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Terrian Hunte, 21, of Top Questelles on October 26, 2025.
Shortte also pleaded guilty to assaulting Teron Hunte of Campden Park on the same day, causing actual bodily harm.
The facts, presented by PC 196 Constantine, stated that Shortte has a 10 month old child with Terrian. They were in a relationship for over two years which ended some time between December, 2024 and June, 2025.
