Taiwan reaffirms commitment to help SVG develop

Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to St Vincent and the Grenadines Fiona Fan, has reaffirmed her country’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and supporting national development in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

Delivering remarks at the official opening of the Everything Vincy Expo Plus on Friday, October 24, 2025 Ambassador Fan highlighted the evolving partnership between Taiwan and SVG, noting that it has been strengthened through collaboration in healthcare, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and technology.

She pointed to the ongoing construction of the Acute Care Hospital at Arnos Vale as a landmark project that embodies “Taiwan and Vincy spirit” and noted that the hospital will have a blend of modern technology, patient-centered design, and sustainable engineering.

“Out of the twelve buildings planned, two have already begun to rise,” she said, while noting that the hospital is a symbol of shared commitment.
