Government dissatisfied with developers on Canouan

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves has indicated the need for a serious conversation with the developers in the north of Canouan, as things are not going as expected.

He spoke about the matter on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 on NBC Radio’s Morning Cup interactive programme.

He said he has already written a letter to Mr Pignataro, the main developer on the Grenadine island, indicating the government’s dissatisfaction with what is taking place in that southern Grenadine island.

The prime minister said the developer’s lawyers from the United Kingdom have already responded to the letter.
