Gibson-Velox proclaims longevity for a victorious NDP

The candidate of the New Democratic Party (NDP) for the West St George Constituency, Laverne Gibson-Velox claims that St Vincent and the Grenadines is rotting away.

Velox made that conclusion last Saturday evening, October 25, 2025 as she addressed a political meeting in London, Sandy Bay.

“This beautiful country of ours is rotting away, and nobody is fixing it,” she declared.

Gibson-Velox referred to the London Playing Field as “Shevern Town” in line with the removal of colonial names in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
