Thirteen named as New Sports and Cultural Ambassadors

Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves has revealed the names of 13 persons as sports and cultural ambassadors at the 46 th Independence Anniversary parade which took place at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Those named as sports ambassadors are: Cornelius Stewart (football); Anthony Boyea (Tennis); Lindon James (cricket and fitness); Mary-Ann Frederick (netball); and Medical Doctor Lennox Adams (athletics, sports administration);

Those named as Cultural Ambassadors are: Joffre Venner (music); Alex Barnwell (music producer); Lindon Lewis (sound and music engineer); Stephenson Wallace (film and visual arts); Shanique Stewart (visual arts); Akley Olton (film); Kingsley Collis (Mas); Dr Richard Byron-Cox (novelist, diplomat).

The naming of the new ambassadors was on a list of 14 major announcements which the Prime Minister made during the delivery of his annual Independence address.
