PM announces new hotel developments

PRIME MINISTER, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, has indicated that steps are underway for new hotel development on the windward end of mainland St Vincent. Speaking at a mass meeting of his Unity Labour Party (ULP) on Sunday, October 19, 2025, Dr Gonsalves said the places of interest are in the Sans Souci area, as well as at Orange Hill.

He said investors have already made a down payment for the purchase of 26 acres of private lands at Sans Souci that are part of what was the Balcombe estate.

“ These investors from Canada and the US buying that land and they are going to build a hotel there. Its a beautiful spot,” he said at Sunday’s meeting at the Calliaqua playing field.
