Corke donates bags to Georgetown Secondary School
A FORMER RESIDENT OF Georgetown who currently resides overseas, has gifted a quantity of school bags to students of the Georgetown Secondary School. And, Prime Minister, Dr.Ralph Gonsalves, speaking at the hand over ceremony on Friday, October 17, 2025, urged the students to not only pursue academic excellence but to also take part in sporting activities to become well rounded individuals.
The backpacks were donated by a Neil Corke, who now resides in the United States of America (USA).
The Prime Minister said the government is committed to educating the nation’s youths at the highest levels, but they must focus on their education.
“…while studying your books, remember also to get involved in other things, like sports and culture and the like…I’m here always for you and for your parents and for the teachers,” he told the gathering of students and teachers from various communities North windward and North central windward.
“I want you to take your education seriously. Pay attention to your teachers and your parents and the elders in the community. Take advantage of the opportunities, and you’ll be fine. Don’t worry about anything at all,” Prime Minister Gonsalves urged.
