Former Minister of Government and Diplomat dies

Former Minister of Government in the Unity Labour Party (ULP) administration, Selmon Walters, has died. Family members confirmed that Walters, who at the time was serving as General Manager of the Arrowroot Industry Association, died yesterday, Monday, October, 13, 2025 in Alabama, USA.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend,colleague and Comrade, Selmon Walters,” Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar stated in a Facebook post.

“His dedication to the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and specifically his unwavering service to the Constituency of South Central Windward will never be forgotten.” Caesar succeeded Walters as the parliamentary representative for that constituency, and, just a few weeks ago when the ULP launched Caesar to again contest in the upcoming general elections, Walters was at his side.
