Roadside garages, bars and food stalls posing a problem, says Transport Minister

Motor repair shops that are dotting the public road side spaces are now posing a serious problem, particularly to drivers on the roads of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

This point was raised by Deputy Prime Minister, Montgomery Daniel, who said on NBC radio on Wednesday, September, 23, 2025 that, “They are now becoming a real menace”.

Daniel, who is also Minister of Transport and Works, said the situation is an area of concern, as the country strives to develop and move forward.

He said these roadside garages “not only block the roadway, but would even create health hazards”.
