Vendor fined, bonded, and ordered to pay compensation for striking sleeping man

A VENDOR, who accused another man of vomiting and urinating in front of his family’s business place was bonded for striking the man in his stomach while he was asleep.

Emmanual Myers was also bonded and fined when he appeared in court.

Myers appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate, Tammika McKenzie, yesterday, September, 15, 2025 where he pleaded guilty that on September 14, 2025 at Tyrell Street, Kingstown he assaulted Cedric Cadougan of Ottley Hall causing actual bodily harm.

Cadougan and Myers know each other very well; they are from the same area. On the date in question at around 10:00 a.m, Cadougan was lying on the ground in the vicinity of the Bikers bar located near Randy’s Supermarket.

Myers went to the area where Cadougan was, and accused him of urinating along the side walk a few days prior.

An argument ensued and escalated as a result of the accusation. A few minutes later, Myers struck Cadougan to the stomach with an object that he had in his hand, injuring him.
