“EMPOWERING YOUTHS for Endless Possibilities”, was the theme for the 67th edition of the annual Police scholarship and bursary award ceremony. A collaborative effort between the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), the Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU), and the St.Vincent and the Grenadines EX-Police Association, the event took place on August, 7, 2025, at the New Testament Church of God, Wilson Hill, Kingstown. It saw 90 students who were successful at the 2025 CPEA being recognized and celebrated for their achievements, in the presence of parents, guardians and well-wishers.

Superintendent of Police, Hezron Ballantyne, standing in for Police Commissioner, Enville Williams, said, “This is a moment of reflection. When we invest in the youths, we are investing in the future that we want to live in. This is not just a tag-line, this is a mission to help create pathways for the youths in order to help them achieve beyond what they think they are capable of,” the Police Superintendent added.

“These scholarships and bursaries aren’t just handouts but instead hand-ups.”

Among the scholarship recipients was Solange Hoyte of Overland, who placed 19th in the CPEA for girls, and 40th overall. Her hard work and dedication earned her the Memorial Scholarship, honouring the late Sergeant of Police, Philbert Chambers. President of the Ex-police Association, Lenroy Brewster, also spoke to the students who were present to receive their scholarships and awards.
