PM hails the fruits of the ‘Education Revolution’

The education revolution introduced by the Ralph Gonsalves-led administration following the win of his Unity Labour Party (ULP), in the 2001 general election has been likened to a tree that was planted, and has now reached its fruit bearing stage.

The strides made in the education, through this revamped policy framework formed part of the discussion on WE FM’s Issue at Hand program on Sunday, June, 29 2025.

In a telephone call to the radio programme, Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves said “ we are beginning to see the fruits of the education revolution”.

He pointed out that more than 800 students are enrolled at The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Global Campus in St Vincent and the Grenadines, and last week, 900 students graduated from the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community college (SVGCC).

“It’s a huge story; this hasn’t happened by accident,” the Prime Minister pointed out.
