Ottley Hall man bonded, must pay compensation for breaking wind shield

An man from Ottley Hall who broke the wind shield of a minivan with a stone and later turned himself in to the police, was ordered to pay $1,450 in compensation and was also bonded for one year.

Javill Williams appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate, Tammika McKenzie, on May, 28, 2025, where he was fined for damage to property.

Williams pleaded guilty that between March 16 and 19, 2025 at Campden Park without lawful excuse, he damaged one wind shield of motor vehicle HM-739 valued EC$1300.00, the property of Julian Glasgow of Campden Park intending to damage such property.

The facts, read by Police Constable (PC) 196 Constantine are that on March, 17 at about 11:00 p.m, Glasgow parked his van near his mother’s house, secured it and went home.

Around 4:10 a.m the following day Glasgow went to his van and noticed that his wind shield was broken and a stone was in front of the van on the ground.
