800 added to Beryl income support list

Government is continuing paying out income support to people who were made vulnerable due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl on July 1, 2024.

Speaking on NBC radio on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, said an additional 800 persons have been added to the existing list of over 4000.

The money is disbursed through the Ministry of National Mobilization, and is received on BOSVG cards.

Heads of vulnerable households received monthly payments of $600 after Hurricane Beryl’s devastation last year.

The prime minister indicated that government is also paying these persons for the first six months of 2025. Farmers and fisherfolks who also received income support after the category 4 hurricane struck are also slated to receive further income support this year.

The Prime Minister said further announcement on this will be made by Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar.
